Gaia-Wind are pleased to announce their participation at the Sustainable Energy Fair at the Scottish Agricultural College, Auchincruive. This event will focus on renewables and energy efficiency, as well as waste management, transport and sustainable house design. It is organized by Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway’s Energy Agency who have organised events such as the Renewable Energy Fair in 2007. The format will include information stands and demonstrations, a variety of presentations throughout the day, on-site catering, free parking and plenty of opportunities to talk with organisations at the forefront of renewable and sustainable technologies.

20 June 2008. Gaia-Wind is proud to announce the successful installation of one of its 11kW small wind turbines at the National Wind Technology Center in Arvada, CO. The turbine will participate in an independent testing program for small wind turbines conducted by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Gaia-Wind is the only non-US manufacturer to have been selected for testing from a worldwide pool of small wind turbine companies.

At the conference BWEA-29 in September 2007 in Glasgow, Gaia Wind presented their view on small wind turbines under the title: ‘How Small wind turbines can make a Big contribution to the renewable obligation’. The presentation and the audio recording are now available on the internet.

The Gaia-Wind turbine that was installed earlier this year in Trento, Italy, can now be seen live over the internet through a webcam. The owner of this wind turbine, Trento University, uses the wind turbine for research and for educational purposes.

Gaia-Wind has been nominated for the ‘Scottish Green Energy Awards, 2007’. Gaia-Wind has been nominated in the category ‘Best new business’. At the award reception on Thursday the 7th of December, the winners of the awards will be announced.

On Monday 16 October 2006, a group of investors took over the Danish manufacturer of small wind turbines ‘Gaia-Wind A/S’.
The investors are committed to further improving the company’s product and will drive forward the international expansion of the company.
